Review of Nikko’s 11-hour day trip from Tokyo, with Toshogu Shrine, Kegon Falls, Lake Chuzenji, lunch, guide tips, and value advice.

“Believe the tour was quite well organized, giving you just enough time and slightly more to see all the attractions. Our tour guide was Melody, and she was quite helpful with questions as well as told some—at least for me—great jokes 😄😄 p.s. after seeing now Toshogu, I confirm by belief that few things come close to Tokugawa wealth - lel”

“What a great tour! Our guide Vicki and the driver were both excellent. The whole tour was really well organised. We spent just the right amount of time at each place and there were plenty of opportunities to get food and drinks and to use the washrooms. The shrine at Nikko was incredible and we’re so glad that we went.”

“I really enjoyed the experience at the temple — the atmosphere, the scent inside, and the monk’s gentle explanation of how to meditate. The meditation itself went by so quickly; I was able to enter a very pleasant, peaceful state. Afterward, we were treated to delicious matcha and sweets. Thank you so much for this beautiful and mindful time 🙏🏻❤️”

Review the Tokyo Samurai Entertainment Night Show at Kanda Shrine, with dinner, drinks, live swordplay, cast photos, timing, and practical tips.

“Amazing food, unlimited drinks, the show was amazing. It was a great experience and I’m really glad I went, everybody was so accommodating and friendly, you can see the hard work and practice put into it. It’s like a visual dance arts play, there isn’t much speaking but you get a sheet of paper that tells you what will happen at each part of the play (read this while you eat or drink). It’s best to get there early so you can drink as much as you want because I think once the show starts food and drinks are finished, you have to pay for the food but it’s cheap…”

He taught us important customs, gave us interesting and important historical points, and took us to the BEST places to try a taste of Japan while at the fish market- we had the BEST Kobe Beef skewers and fatty tuna!! Andres also helped us find black sesame ice cream! Andres showed us how to love Japan as much as he does! What a wonderful way to spend the day in Tokyo…”
